Caring for Aging Loved Ones
Perhaps it starts with a fall or an illness, or maybe the onset of dementia. As median population age shifts, most will need to arrange some type of care for a loved one. Be prepared. This workshop will discuss the array of options (as well as pros and cons) of some of the choices available; such as in-home care, assisted living and skilled nursing, and teach you what to look for or ask about when exploring these different alternatives. The class will provide education on the differences in long term care and the costs involved. The behaviors and concerns of dementia will be discussed, as well as other challenges you may be experiencing. Resource information for veterans assistance, support groups, and several other pertinent topics will be available.
