Welding - Metal Art Project
This course is designed to allow intermediate to advanced welders, fabricators, and artisans to explore, construct, and share their work. The design and fabrication of projects in this setting can serve an industrial, recreational, utilitarian, or aesthetic purpose. On the first day of class, the instructor will give project inspirations and review student ideas. Projects will be limited to size, scope, detail, and time availability.
Prerequisite: Welding Level 1 or Intro to Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG).
PLEASE NOTE: Lab fees are non-refundable. Please bring safety glasses, leather welding gloves, wear boots, and a long-sleeve cotton shirt and jeans..
*Additional cost will be required as students will need to provide their own material for their specific project.
Parking: College Way runs along the side of Placer High School's campus closest to the metal/wood-shop classrooms. Please be sure to read/observe the parking signs to avoid a parking ticket.
