Nevada Union Adult School exists to help adults in our county reach their educational and personal goals. We want to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be more effective citizens, workers, and parents. Our programs are all designed to help adult learners achieve a better quality of life and enrich our community.
English Language Development
English Language Development classes are a great way for students from other countries not only to learn English, but to find a place in our community. The instruction focuses on speaking, listening, reading and writing activities, as well as developing an understanding of U.S. culture. All levels of students will benefit from this fun and lively class.
High School Diploma – Independent Study
This is a great option for students who are motivated, independent workers. After meeting with a High School Diploma Teacher for a transcript evaluation, you will be given an appointment to meet with a teacher for a one hour, weekly meeting. During that time, you will receive instruction and assignments, and turn in completed coursework for a minimum of 15 hours of at-home study each week. Credit is awarded based on the amount of work you complete and tests you pass in class.
